The Courtyard Studio is the trading name for artist Wendy Sabine, H.S., S.Lm., S.M., originating from the time when her studio was in an historic close near to the cathedral in St Andrews. Wendy has been a practising artist for many years and has been in full time business as a professional artist since the 1980s. She enjoys working in any medium and specialises in miniatures, landscapes and portraits.
Wendy is an elected member of various miniature societies including the Hilliard, the Limners and the Society of Miniaturists and her works can be seen at any of the annual exhibitions of these groups across the UK. Wendy has also exhibited at the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition and she has works in collections in America, Europe and New Zealand.
Currently, the most popular products of the Courtyard Studio involve original miniature paintings completed in fine detail on silver set agate pendants and brooches; earrings and cufflinks are also available. These unique jewellery items feature paintings completed in minute detail on semi-precious agate and a range of other gemstones such as onyx, lapis, tigers eye and carnelian. Any subject will be considered, but animal portraits, wildlife and angels, unicorns and Pegasus are popular.

Portraits: These are usually completed in pastel or oil. People and animals provide popular subjects for commissions.
Landscapes: Here, watercolours are the favoured medium. From miniature (say 3 inches square) to large, from homes & gardens to mountains and coastlines………. the choice of subject is endless!

The Courtyard Studio has expanded its popular print portfolio for 2010 and now has the following ranges available.
