I create artwork from seashore found objects, principally driftwood and seaglass.  I also use sea pottery, rusty metal and shells mixing the colours, textures and shapes to produce boat pictures, beach hut pictures, brooches and more abstract pieces amongst other items. The work is often embellished by textiles, leaves or paper.

Triple boatEach piece is unique and cannot be duplicated due the nature of the materials.  The wood or glass has been worn down by the strength of the sea into its own individual shape and I try not to alter that in any way, letting the pieces themselves dictate how they could be used.

The vast majority of the pieces have been sourced from the beautiful beaches of Fife and Sutherland, with others being found in Wester Ross and along the Moray coastline.

I am based in Cupar in Fife and my work can be seen at Made in Fife events, various other craft fairs through the year and on my facebook page, Drifted into Design.
